Vietnam Highlights Role of Smart Devices and Innovation at Global Electronics Expo

October 2025The 2025 Vietnam International Electronics & Smart Appliances Expo (IEAE) has officially opened at the Hà Nội International Centre for Exhibition, featuring more than 260 domestic and international exhibitors across 350 booths. Spanning an area of 6,000 square meters, the three-day event highlights a broad selection of consumer electronics, home appliances, electronic components, and accessories. Organised jointly by CHAOYU EXPO and VINEXAD National Trade Fair & Advertising JSC, the expo is expected to attract over 15,000 attendees, including businesses, distributors, and tech enthusiasts. Electronics and smart appliances usually require CR certification in order to be approved for import and sale in Vietnam.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the Vietnamese Government views electronics as a key sector for national industrialisation, with a focus on innovation, digital transformation, and AI integration. As Vietnam positions itself as a leading electronics manufacturing hub in ASEAN, initiatives like the National Strategy on AI and supportive trade policies are driving sectoral growth. The expo features seminars and networking events addressing global innovation trends, value chain cooperation, and sustainable production aligned with Vietnam’s net-zero targets. The MoIT is also promoting enhanced collaboration between local and international enterprises to boost localisation rates and raise the added value of electronic products.
