Vietnam’s Electronics Exports Hit Record Levels as Tech Demand Surges

27. November 2025

Vietnam’s exports of computers, electronics, and related components to the United States surged nearly 78% year-on-year in the first ten months of the year, reaching over US$34 billion, according to data from Vietnam Customs. This significant growth was primarily fueled by rising demand for AI server infrastructure, technology devices, and semiconductor components. Alongside electronics, machinery and equipment exports also rose by over 9% to US$19.6 billion, while phone and component shipments rebounded slightly to US$9 billion after two stagnant years. In total, Vietnam’s exports to the U.S. increased by 28% to US$126 billion during the period, surpassing full-year 2024 figures and accounting for more than 30% of the country’s total export volume. Electronics usually require CR certification in order to be approved for import and sale in Vietnam.

The CR (Conformity Regulation) certification plays a crucial role in market access for electronic products in Vietnam. It verifies that a product complies with national technical regulations and safety standards. For manufacturers and exporters, CR certification is not only a legal requirement but also a mark of trust for consumers and business partners. As Vietnam’s electronics market continues to grow, meeting these compliance standards ensures smooth distribution and helps prevent potential legal or safety-related issues.
